Kepkee’s Diesel & Performance

Kepkee's Diesel is the handsome prince of diesel repair/upgrade shops in the Tampa Bay area. I kissed the toads, spent $13,000 on four other shops ( including a large dealership ) , FINALLY found Bret Kepkee's and everything got fixed. Not compromised, "drive it a while, it'll get better", actually fixed. And I'm out of touch now, but I owned a repair shop for 20+ years, held ASE master tech + engine performance specialist credentials from 1993-2014, so I know good work when I see/hear/feel it. To cap it off, my wife's circumstances required us to force Brett to finish the work on a Friday morning, and we left on a 2 month, 17 campground RV trip with the truck the next morning. Brett read my anxiety and questions, answered them promptly, and after a few days summed it up to me. He said. "Gary, you're good - drive on to Canada with confidence". And he's right. The truck runs great in every detail. He delivered, under pressure, with the confidence of he and his technician's work. This is as good as it gets.

Dealing with Bret and his crew have been awesome. I had an extensive amount of upgrades needing to be installed / completed and Bret kept me updated and went over and beyond to get all that I wanted done. Bret was professional in every stage of the work being completed. Also the best part the truck runs and sounds incredible. Kepkee's is defiantly my new go to diesel shop.

Brett and Sarah run a first-class operation at Kepkee’s Diesel & Performance. Honest advice, great communication, and quality work are hard to come by these days, but that’s exactly what you’ll find here. The whole team genuinely cares about their customers and it shows. Highly recommend!

I’ve dealt with a lot of diesel shops over the years, and Kepkes Diesel is one of the few I actually trust with my truck. They’ve helped me out multiple times with everything from repairs to suspension and custom work, and every time the job gets done right. No shortcuts, no guessing—just solid work and attention to detail. They keep you updated, get you in and out quicker than most shops, and stand behind what they do. It’s rare to find a place that can handle both the mechanical side and custom upgrades at a high level, but these guys do it without missing a beat. Definitely a shop I’ll keep going back to.

I can’t say enough good things about Kepkes Diesel. These guys always take care of my trucks and consistently go above and beyond every time I bring it in. From diesel repairs to suspension and custom work, they really know their stuff and do it right the first time. They’re honest, knowledgeable, and actually care about getting you back on the road quickly without cutting corners. Turnaround time is always solid, communication is on point, and the quality of their work speaks for itself. It’s hard to find a shop you can truly trust, especially when it comes to both mechanical and custom upgrades, but Kepkes Diesel is definitely one of them. If you want your truck running right and looking right, this is the place to go. Highly recommend.
